Ingredients 8.8 oz soft butter cubed 12.3 oz sugar 13.2 oz all purpose flour 12.3 oz chocolate chips 1 egg 1 pinch of salt 2 tbsp vanilla extract
Put the sugar and soft butter into a bowl and work with your hands until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix together. Add the flour, a pinch of salt and the chocolate chips and work again with your hands until everything looks well combined. If too sticky add some flour to the dough and form small balls with your hands. Press the balls on a floured baking sheet to obtain round cookies. Place in the middle of the oven and bake at 392F 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.
"These cookies are simply the best I’ve ever tasted! The recipe was passed on by a friend of my daughter. Her name is Garance. That’s why we call them Garance’s Cookies! We could also call them “the best cookies in the world”. My daughter Léa is quite the specialist at preparing them and it is always an immense joy for our family. They are delicious with a cup of coffee or tea, or as dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but also simply on their own." ~Nathalie
